Loose Parts: Inspiring Play in Young Children by Miriam Beloglovsky and Lisa Daly is an organized approach for helping children with constructive play ideas. The authors have dozens of "stages" set with materials as a place to begin each idea. However, any DIY, nature objects, small items collected,  and recycled materials may be used and reused in this approach.  Stages may be set similarly to what the authors used with different supplies.
